Data we collect
We do not request any data from you. When you visit the site, our webhost may record the IP address from which your browser connected to our website. Please see our host’s privacy policy.
If you submit a question via Signal, we will have a record of your Signal username and any message content you send to us. If you have not set a Signal username, we will have a record of the phone number associated with your Signal app.
If you submit a question and provide your email address, you may want to use a different email account if your address includes any identifying information that you’d prefer to keep private (e.g., “your name [at] gmail.com”).
Data sharing
We will not share this data unless compelled by a court.
How long we retain your data
We will delete any Signal conversation you initiate within a week of your last message. We may delete it sooner than that.
What rights you have over your data
You can set your Signal app to delete messages automatically after a certain time span. If you wish to retain this control over your data, change this setting before you message us.
